Chris
Stavroulopoulos received the Electrical and Computer Engineering Diploma degree in 1989 from the
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Patras, Greece. In 1989 he joined
the Laboratory of Embedded Communication Systems at the University of Patras participating in many R&D projects
supported by the EU (ESPRIT, RACE, ACTS), the Greek Telecommunications Organisation (OTE), the Greek Ministry
of National Defence, the Greek Secretariat of Research and Technology, and companies such as IBM, ATMEL,
ALSTOM and INTRACOM. He has professional experience in PC and microprossesor systems programming (Assembly, C,
Visual Basic and SDL programming languages) and in computer networks administration (Windows, Linux,
UNIX).
From 1990 to 2008 he participated
in the laboratory training of the students of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Dpt. of the
University of Patras in the courses: Introduction to Computer Networks, Embedded Communication Systems and
Microwave Telecommunications. He is currently the Technical Support Manager of the Laboratory of Embedded Communication
Systems at the University of Patras. He has also been the Unit Manager of Research Unit 7 at the
Research & Academic Computer Technology Institute, Patras, Greece (2003-2006). Since 2009 he is also the
Technical Support Manager of Windows Systems at the Computer, Information and Communication Systems Center of the Electrical
and Computer Engineering Dpt. at the University of Patras.
His research interests are in the areas of Data Communication Systems and
Computer Networks, especially in the fields of routing algorithms and Real-Time Applications
support. He has published two papers in scientific journals and three in international conferences.
Mr. Stavroulopoulos is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 1990. |
